ABOUT LOMIE G.HEARD ELEMENTARY
Our school was dedicated on January 22, 2019, coinciding with what would be the 113th birthday of our namesake. Lomie Heard would be very proud of learners who enter our doors and who strive to do their very best!
The Lomie G. Heard Elementary School was closed at the end of the 2015-2016 school year when CCSD’s lease on the land expired. In 2017, the Marzano Academy at Lomie Heard Elementary School opened at a new site as a Science, Tehcnology, Engineering, and Mathematics magnet school.
